Why Power-Only Studies Fail
Teams that size turbines to rack IT load and “add a little margin” discover mid-design that chillers, dry coolers, liquid loops, and pumps consume a large parasitic share. The result is undersized modular blocks, overloaded transformers, and COD slips while equipment is re-ordered. Co-design prevents that expensive loop.

Liquid Cooling and Campus Power Architecture
Liquid-cooled AI halls shift heat rejection patterns and can change the shape of cooling MW curves. Power blocks should track those curves by phase. Shared electrical rooms need spare capacity for cooling plant growth, not only for IT PDU growth. Fire protection and acoustic envelopes also change when cooling plant footprint expands beside turbine pads.
N+1 Across Power and Cooling
Redundancy definitions that cover generation but ignore cooling single points are incomplete. A campus can have N+1 turbines and still drop halls if the cooling plant lacks equivalent resilience. Co-design workshops should write failure scenarios that include simultaneous power and cooling contingencies.
